Is my donation secure?

The security and confidentiality of your information are our highest priority. We use a system called authorize.net to ensure your protection. We will not sell, trade, or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. The activities and services of Dakota Hope comply with the provisions and limitations of our non-profit status under the ND Articles of Incorporation, and our tax-exempt status 501 (c) (3) with the Internal Revenue Service of the United States.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes, you will receive an emailed receipt from Dakota Hope immediately after your donation. A year-end receipt for tax purposes will also be sent in January.

How do I receive the ND Tax Credit?

You can receive the North Dakota tax credit by making a donation to a qualified organization, such as a pregnancy help center, maternity home, or child placing agency (like Dakota Hope Clinic).

Here’s how it works:

  1. Make a donation
Give to a qualified North Dakota organization before December 31 of the tax year.
  2. Keep your receipt
Save proof of your donation (such as a receipt or canceled check).
  3. File your North Dakota taxes
When you file your state taxes, complete Schedule MCP and include it with your return.
  4. Receive your tax credit
    • You can receive a credit equal to your donation
    • Up to 50% of what you owe in ND income tax
    • Maximum credit of $2,500

Simple example:
If you owe $1,000 in North Dakota taxes and donate $500, you could reduce your tax bill by $500.
